We are serving the living God

Serving the living God is demonstrated through several key aspects that reflect a deep and genuine relationship with Him. The move of God, yesterday, amid us showed that truly, we are serving the living God, as He visited many brethren and took away their reproaches. Many paralyzed people received their healing; the lame walked, the blind saw, yokes were broken and there were several other manifestations of God’s power.

It has been a wonderful experience since the emergence of this ministry. Gone were the days unbelievers would ask children of God, where is their God? In this place, there is evidence that we are serving the living God.

Ps42:2 says: “My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God, when shall I come and appear before him?”

The Psalmist understood the importance of being with the living God that was why he was thirsty to appear before him. You, reading this message, do you know the essence of being with the living God? He that has the living God, has everything because the living God is self-existent, self-sufficient, omnipotent, omniscient, ubiquitous, Alpha and Omega and the immortality God, Who can kill and make alive. When King of Assyria (Sennacherib) sent Rabshakeh to mock the children of the living God (Israelites), God reacted immediately to defend His name. The living God, Who is merciful is also a consuming fire. If you deride him, he will deal with you just like he dealt with King Sennacherib. Those of you that were here yesterday, you saw how he fought for you and delivered you from the hands of the enemies, yet yesterday was an appetizer. Today, being the grand finale of this programme, he is fully prepared to finally destroy your remaining enemies, so cheer up. The hour for him to arise with a drawn sword is very close. Once, l conclude this message, he will declare war on your enemies.

In our lead text above in Josh 3:10, Joshua assured the people that the living God will surely drive out the seven heathen nations and he wasted no time in doing so. Therefore, there is nothing he promised, he did not fulfill. He has the capacity to do all things, so, be rest assured that whatever you came here with, he is able to meet you at the point of your need.

In 1 Sam.17:26, little boy-David, understood what the living God can do and so when Goliath of Gath, a Philistine came to defile the army of the living God, David relied on the power of the God of Israel, to defeat him. Are you under- estimating the power of God, people like Pharaoh, King of Egypt; Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon; Herod, King of Israel; and many others, will tell you how the wrath of God dealt with them, so be careful.

Some signs to show that we are serving the living God;

Love For God And Others:
A genuine love for God that is evident in our desire to worship, pray and spend time in His presence. Loving others selflessly, as Jesus commanded, including showing kindness, compassion, and forgiveness. 2 Cor 6:16: “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”

The living God is always jealous of his children and cares for their welfare. However, God is righteous and holy and wants his children to always be holy and righteous like him.

1 Peter 1:15-16: “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation. 16: Because it is written, be ye holy; for I am holy.”

So God is holy and wants us to be holy. As you are in this programme, the best gift you can receive from God, is the gift of salvation. Salvation is the first step in walking with the living God. And for you to receive salvation, you must receive Jesus Christ into your life as Lord and Saviour. Jn3:3 says: “Verily, verily, I say unto ye, unless a man be born-again, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.” Salvation is the reason we are here. Repent and return to God. The living God will give you life in Christ Jesus.

Mark 8:36-37: For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his soul or what shall a man give in exchange of soul. There is nothing any man can give in exchange of his soul. Repent now before it is too late, so that you will not shout had I known at last.
