Osofisan’s Altine’s Wrath To Be Staged At MUSON Today

School-ArtTHESPIAN Family Theatre and Productions is staging Femi Osofisan’s Altine’s Wrath today. The play is a rich production that embraces drama, dance, media and storytelling and at the same time underline certain societal issues.

Supported by a rich cast, THESPIAN Family Theatre introduces a unique twist as we delve into Altine’s story from a TV talk show! A peep into Altine and Lawal Jatau’s household shows Lawal, an extravagant, affluent and highly placed elite, having the time of his life, but not so his illiterate wife, Altine. He, however, gets the shock of his life when he discovers that Altine is not as dumb as she feigns.

Altine’s Wrath is an exciting 70-minute production that touches on sub-themes of love, hatred, graft and corruption, downtrodden citizenry and the brave advocates who fight the cause. TFT through its unique approach has been able to use Osofisan’s brilliant, comical and satirical style to drive home relevant social issues.

Directed by Nissi George, the production showed at the National Theatre, Iganmu on October 11 and 16 and will be showing at the MUSON Centre, Onikan today.
