Oluwafemi Royal Aliu wins Excellence Award in Agrictech at 2018 West African Youth Awards


Nigerian Agrictech founder and entrepreneur Oluwafemi Royal Aliu has won the Excellence in Agrictech award at the 2018 West African Youth Awards.

The 2018 West African Youth Summit (WAYS) took place with great enthusiasm from November 2 – 4, 2018 bringing together about 1000 dynamic young leaders from across West Africa.

The three-day development summit focused on fostering discussions and actions around four critical thematic areas: Education, Entrepreneurship, Technology, and Environment.

Oluwafemi Royal Aliu, a notable figure in the field of Agriculture technology (Agritech), attended the summit as both an award winner and a distinguished speaker. This dual role underscores Oluwafemi’s significant contributions to youth development and leadership in West Africa.

The summit, held at the prestigious Digital Bridge Institute in Lagos, was a must-attend event for emerging leaders in the region. It provided a platform for young people to exchange ideas, build networks, and develop actionable strategies to address the pressing challenges within their communities.

Oluwafemi was honoured with the Award of Excellence for his contribution as an Agritech champion driving blockchain and general technology integration into Nigeria’s Agriculture sector.
