Oluwafemi Royal Aliu selected for 2018 class of Future Awards


The Central Working Committee (CWC) of The Future Awards Africa (TFAA) has announced Oluwafemi Royal Aliu, a trailblazing agritech innovator as a nominee for the 13th edition of Africa’s prestigious youth awards.

The event is slated for 16 December 2018 at the Balmoral Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos.

The organisers said the nomination highlights Oluwafemi’s contributions to the agricultural sector through his work with Myfarmbase Africa, an initiative dedicated to revolutionizing agritech practices in Nigeria.

“Myfarmbase focuses on empowering farmers with digital tools and knowledge, bridging the gap between technology and agriculture. My leadership in this domain has not only improved agricultural efficiency but also inspired a new generation of tech-savvy farmers,” Oluwafemi said.

The Future Awards Africa, often referred to as the “Nobel Prize for Young Africans” celebrates outstanding young achievers across the continent who are driving impactful change in their respective fields.

The 2018 nominees list includes prominent figures such as Davido, Ahmed Musa, Adesua Etomi, Chinwe Egwin, and Samson Itodo, representing a diverse array of talent and leadership.

Oluwafemi said being nominated for The Future Awards Africa 2018 is a significant milestone in Oluwafemi’s career, reflecting his dedication, hard work, and visionary approach to agritech.
