Okeibunor joins ICF board as membership director

The International Coaching Federation (ICF), Nigeria Chapter, recently inaugurated a new Board of Directors to run its affairs for the next two years (2024-2026) with Charles Okeibunor, a seasoned professional coach renowned for his transformative approach to leadership and personal development, as the board’s Membership Director.


Okeibunor, who brings a wealth of experience and career accomplishments to his position, told newsmen that his personal goals were “to get more Nigerians to understand that coaching is a basic need for personal and professional growth and to attract more suited people into such a life-transforming profession.”

With a dynamic career spanning over 16 years, Okeibunor has become a beacon of inspiration for individuals and organisations seeking to unlock their full potential. He stands as a testament to the transformative power of coaching, showcasing that leadership excellence knows no boundaries and that the heartbeat of global leadership resonates in every corner of our diverse world.


According to the ICF Membership Director, there are over 31,000 coaches credentialed by ICF across the world, of which 37 are in Nigeria, one of the 143 Chapters of ICF in 99 countries.

To hold a credential in ICF, which is the global coaching standard, a coach must have a minimum of one hundred hours of coaching experience, submit a successful recording with ICF and pass the Coach Knowledge Assessment examination.

In 2020, Charles obtained the Expert Coach to Transformation and ICF ACC Associate Certified Coach badges. He became a Professional Certified Coach with the ICF PCC Badge in 2021.

Okeibunor’s impact reaches far and wide. He has successfully coached executives, entrepreneurs, and change-makers from various industries such as Oil and Gas, Hospitality, Insurance, Government, Banking, Media, etc.

He is a training facilitator for the Broadcasters Global Forum, a virtual group of seasoned professionals committed to enhancing media standards across the world.
