Ogbeh lauds military onslaught on terrorists

Audu Ogbeh
Chairman, Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Audu Ogbeh, has asked the military to maintain its onslaught on terrorists until they are wiped out of Nigeria.

Apparently referring to the recent offensive by the military against bandits and Boko Haram terrorists, Ogbeh told newsmen in Kaduna, yesterday, that the strikes by the air force personnel were commendable.

He said: “The Arewa Consultative Forum would like to commend the Nigerian military, particularly the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) for raids it carried out recently against terrorists.

“Last weekend, for instance, the NAF carried out an offensive, which led to the death of two notorious bandit leaders, Alhaji Auta and Kachalla Luga, in Zamfara.”

According to the ACF chief, many of their followers were also killed in the operation codenamed Hadarin Daji.

“We urge the air force and all our gallant fighters to maintain the current onslaught until the terrorist surrender. It is only when such tempo is maintained that the leadership can be assured of the morale of our fighting men.

“We assure our fighting men that victory is in sight and they should not despair,” he added.
