Human Rights and Empowerment Project (HREP) in collaboration with Ignatius Aguowo Health and Academic Foundation (IGAHAF) has pledged to empower young graduates on leadership, intellectual, innovative and entrepreneurial capacities in its five years empowerment programme.

The aim of the programme is to boost the capacity of young graduates to survive, thrive and succeed in Nigeria, whilst bringing a new breath of air to leadership in country.

Executive Director, HREP, Gozie Francis Moneke said the youths are mostly affected by the harsh economic situation in the country.

Moneke emphasised that the empowerment programme seeks to change the orientation of young graduates who are the potential leaders of the country in the nearest future by inculcating in them the culture of selfless leadership and the rewards that comes with it.

He added that the programme will seek to imbue in them the virtues of honesty, accountability, probity and empathy while cultivating in them the disciplines of patriotism, hard-work and creativity.

He explained further that the firms in every quarter will empower 600 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in every state hoping to train 5000 youths at the end of the project.

He noted that the NGOs will synergize with NYSC towards engaging youths on national youth service in course of the programme.
