NASFAT members in the diaspora have been charged with the task of showcasing the tenets of Islam particularly with regards to optimum compliance and obedience to the laws of their host countries.

As ambassadors of Islam, NASFAT members were also asked to ensure that their activities are not at variance or in conflict with the laws of the land since it is an act of worship to obey our leaders.

This strong admonition was handled down by the President of Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society, Engr. Kamil Bolarinwa at the inauguration ceremony of the Houston/Texas branch of the society, which took place last weekend in the United States of America.

In his speech, Engr. Bolarinwa seized the opportunity to re-emphasize that Islam has nothing to do with nefarious activities of a few particularly the terrorists whose infamous acts are erroneously used to judge Islam.

In a thought provoking lecture titled Leadership in Islam vis-à-vis NASFAT Organization, an erudite scholar former Vice Chancellor, UNILAG and now of University of California, Prof. Nurudeen Alao stressed the need to ensure probity, selflessness and the fear of Allah among the rank and file of the newly inaugurated branch.

In a short spiritual diet at the event, the Chief Missioner of NASFAT, Imam Abdullahi Gbade Akinbode reiterated the need for members to always promote love, unity and forthrightness in the activities of all stakeholders.

The major highlight of the colourful event was the handing over of the flag of the new branch to the leadership of the branch.

Other personalities in attendance at the event were immediate past president of NASFAT, Alhaji Sheriff Yussuf; Member, Council of Elders, Alhaji Ogunneye; Vice President II, Alhaji Rauf Ayodeji; National General Secretary, Alhaji Kabeer Alaraba; Secretary, BoT, NASFAT, Alhaji Remi Babalola among others.
