Lagos Traffic Hawkers in happy mood as Foundation shares cash gifts

Traffic Hawkers in the Maryland area of Lagos State are seen in happy mood as a Foundation called Agege Feeding Programme distributed cash gifts

The Traffic Hawkers of different gender were seen in large numbers, filed in queues to receive the gifts enveloped and handed over to them by the Founder, Dr. Edward Akinlade

Speaking exclusively to Tribune Online on this gesture, Akinlade described such as a way of supporting their businesses in order for them to experience a leap.

He explained that many of them could not afford to the seed capital of the business they do and consequently subscribed to doing it for someone else even though it requires as little as N5,000.

According to him, the traffic hawkers have proven their mettle of being desirous not to go into robbery and all sort of social vices by taking to this little business.

He added that it is imperative as an organisation to complement the efforts of government in addressing issues in the society.

Dr. Akinlade noted that the economies of great countries are products of small businesses like these.

The Founder said poverty eradication should be the top priority of every country and such can achieved only when little things like these are done.
