Adopts Arise for Senate

A group in the Ekiti State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), under the acronym Ekiti-Oke Progressive Allies (EPA), has warned that the party might lose the North senatorial race in 2023 due to alleged poor representation of the zone currently at the National Assembly.

It also warned that it might be too risky to gamble with the ticket, with a formidable opposition in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as well as the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

The EPA Co-ordinator, Mr. Tunde Babalola, stated this in Oye-Ekiti, yesterday while addressing newsmen on the coming senatorial race, saying that the only way for the party to win is to field a popular candidate.

Babalola said that the APC, having found itself in a precarious situation due to its lack of popularity caused by the alleged disappointing performance of the current occupant of the seat, must adopt a tested politician like Senator Ayo Arise, who parades enviable records of exemplary representation to guarantee victory for the party.
