Gospel artiste, Ehiliz, gets LAPO Lifetime Achievement Award 2023

Popular gospel musician, Ehigiamusoe Elizabeth Ngozi, well known as Ehiliz, has been honoured with a Life Achievement Award at the 2023 LAPO Outstanding Women Leadership Award (LOWLA), held recently at the LAPO Institute in Uselu, Benin City.

According to the organisers, LOWLA was instituted in 2013 to recognise and honour women who have excelled and distinguished themselves in their business, farming and professional careers with sustainable social impacts.

The event, which was chaired by the Vice Chancellor of University of Delta, Agbor in Delta State, Professor Stella Chiemeke, is considered as a veritable platform to recognize and celebrate awardees who have improved the quality of human life in the global community as well as showcasing what LAPO stands for and its plan for women by recognising their contributions and exceptional services.

In addition, LOWLA is aimed to inform the public that hard work, excellence, exemplary and outstanding contributions to societal development shouldn’t be ignored or taken for granted.

Ehiliz, as one of the biggest awardees, is a gospel artiste, TV host and a member of the following organisations: LAPO Board of Directors; National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria; Nigeria Institute of Management and the Nigerian Institute for Training & Development.

Her journey to music became a reality in 1994, when she released her first album titled, Behold I Stand.

Since then, the grace upon her has proven beyond human frailty and evidently seen by men. With over 15 albums currently, nothing is to be compared with her love for music or has taken preeminence over her life in fulfilling God’s mandate, preaching Christ and fellowshipping with other saints. She inspires and propels many people particularly youths to embrace righteousness, success and contributes to the development of the society.

Other recipients of the awards are: Chinyere Gladys Okoro, Jackson Durodola Mary, and Mathhias Azui Helen, while the guest speaker of the day was professor Adefunke Adekunle, Director of Gender Studies, University of Benin, Benin City.
