Entrepreneur tasks youths on skills development

A Nigerian crochetist and social entrepreneur, Chidinma Modupe Okafor, who embarked on a 72-hour crochet-a-thon aimed at shattering the Guinness World Record (GWR), has tasked youths to build on their skills.

According to her, “If youths work with their skills, it will create more job opportunities. I am in the era of making dreams come through. I am in the era of showcasing creativity at its peak. This era we are in now, I believe everyone has a skill. I believe if we are working with our gifts, we will be able to create more job opportunities.”

Okafor, with an ardent passion for the art of bespoke fashion pieces and a commitment to crafting outstanding pieces within the fashion industry, said that with crochet, she could make any fashion wear with clothes, bags and shoes.

She, therefore, urged parents to allow their children to explore their skills.
