In a post on X, Samklef confessed his long time admiration for Simi. He revealed that he almost asked her out when she broke up with one of her ex-boyfriends, Lekan. However, he decided against it to maintain a professional boundary.

“I love Simi. I almost asked her out o! When she broke up with her ex, Lekan for experience that year. But I had to keep it professional, make e for no spoil business… Adekunle help me greet your wife for me. Life is not that deep (sic),” Samklef wrote.

In another post, Samklef shared another experience he had with Simi’s family. He wrote: “But Simi family show me pepper sha. After everything I do for her…I don forgive dem. That him over sabi brother where him dey self?”

Adekunle Gold fired back at Samklef, wasting no time to defend his wife Simi. He replied to Samklef’s post saying: “When will it be your turn to receive sense from your 7th heaven? Because you are clearly lost in your own damn mind. Simi doesn’t owe you shit and it’s about time you stopped calling her name every 3 market days. If anything, you owe me! Stop fooling around and act your age!”

Samklef had previously revealed that he discovered Simi, along with other notable artists, including Ric Hassani, and Tunde Ednut. He also gave himself credit for mentoring Dami Krane and Phenom, helping them hone their skills and find success in the competitive music industry.

Samklef expressed his frustration, labeling those he helped, including Simi, as ungrateful.
